Telemedicine Hub & Diagnostics Pod

A collaboration led by the Intellibus Care Foundation and the Intellibus AI Academy — building the future of community telemedicine, one pod at a time.

Telemedicine is the most powerful equalizer in modern healthcare. Yet millions still lack reliable access to basic diagnostics, chronic-care monitoring, and specialist consultations—especially in rural, disaster-affected, or underserved communities.

We are developing a next-generation Telemedicine Hub & Diagnostics Pod, designed to bring hospital-grade assessment tools directly into communities that have no clinic, no doctor, and no transportation access.

These pods are being designed, tested, and refined in Jamaica as part of our Atlas Telemedicine Platform (launching 2027).

This is a work in progress, and we are openly inviting collaborators, funders, medical institutions, and AI researchers to help us bring this system to life at national scale.

Telemedicine Pod Capabilities (Prototype Stage)

The diagnostic panels shown here represent the capabilities we are integrating into the first production units:

Height & Weight Measurement
Blood Pressure
Body Composition
Body Temperature
ECG (Electrocardiogram)
Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂)
Hemoglobin
Blood Sugar (Glucose)
Uric Acid
Urine Analysis
Total Cholesterol
Blood Lipids (Blood Fat)

Together, these create a baseline medical panel capable of screening for hypertension, diabetes, kidney issues, metabolic disorders, cardiac rhythm abnormalities, anemia, dehydration, early infection indicators, and more.

These pods will eventually integrate AI-assisted triage workflows from the Intellibus AI Academy and link directly to remote physicians through the Atlas platform.

What We Are Building

1. The Community Telemedicine Pod

A compact, climate-controlled booth that can be placed in:

  • Rural communities
  • Senior centers
  • Community hubs
  • Disaster shelters
  • Schools and municipal buildings

Patients step inside, receive a guided set of automated tests, and connect to a remote physician.

2. Integrated Digital Health Platform

Each pod will plug into the Atlas Telemedicine Platform, enabling:

  • Real-time vitals collection
  • Remote physician consultations
  • Secure patient reports
  • AI-assisted triage
  • Chronic-care monitoring

3. Training & Workforce Development

The Intellibus AI Academy trains:

  • Telemedicine pod operators
  • Digital health assistants
  • Community health workers
  • Senior care navigators
  • Youth digital fellows supporting pod operations

This creates local jobs while expanding health access.

How It Will Work (Future State)

1

Patient Checks In Locally

A resident enters the Telemedicine Pod for routine screening or for a concern requiring evaluation.

2

Automated Diagnostics

The pod runs a guided panel of vitals and lab-equivalent tests.

3

Remote Physician Review

Atlas matches the case with an available clinician locally or internationally.

4

Live Telemedicine Consultation

Video consultation conducted inside the pod, with AI assisting documentation and triage.

5

Treatment Plan & Follow-Up

Patients receive clear next steps, medication guidance, and scheduled follow-ups.

6

Community Care Loop

Local health workers and digital assistants support ongoing monitoring.

Why This Matters for Jamaica

Recent field missions—including the Melissa Recovery Mission—revealed:

  • Many communities have no nearby clinic, and seniors cannot travel long distances.
  • Chronic disease care (hypertension, diabetes) breaks down during disasters.
  • Communication and transportation disruptions prevent access to doctors.
  • Telemedicine is consistently requested by community members and responders.

Pods offer a permanent, reachable access point for:

Seniors
Veterans
Rural communities
Disaster-affected zones
Low-income neighborhoods
National resilience enhancement
